We are so excited to provide enrichment for all students in music, science, art, and PE this year.  Pictured above are:

Mrs. Pridmore (Music)

Ms. Diaz (Science)

In addition to school sports teams, we plan to have a choir, ukulele club, and add an outdoor mural to the wall near our garden.  The 2nd graders pictured above are recording scientific information outside.  Lots of great things are happening at Juarez-Lincoln!

Building the Garden-Phase 2

Although our school garden was established last November, we decided to expand and double our existing growing space.  Thanks to a grant from Home Depot, we were able to replace the garden beds, add two large U-shaped beds, add 10 viewing boxes, and plant 4 fruit trees.  Benches were also constructed and a child-sized checkerboard was painted onto the ground.  We hope to see pumpkins growing on vines soon, just in time for fall.  Next up: a student-designed mural will be painted on the wall facing the garden.  Come and see what’s blooming at Juarez-Lincoln!

Staff, parents, and volunteers came together on a Saturday morning to build 7 raised planter beds for vegetables and herbs.  The Garden Club, comprised of staff, parents, and volunteers, maintain the garden and all classes are invited to visit.  An irrigation system was added to ensure plants receive water during holiday weekends and school breaks.  The school garden is a symbol of the the great things that are blooming at Juarez-Lincoln!
