Hello Eagles! We have many things happening on campus in these next few weeks. Here’s what’s going on this week.

PTA Scholastic Book Fair is happening this week! Books make wonderful gifts for the holidays! Book Fair hours are Monday – Friday 11:30am-1:15pm (student lunch time) and 2:30pm-3:15pm.


We have collaboration happening this week with our wonderful teachers – Mrs. Clemetson (art), Mrs. Dawson (music), Mrs. Diaz (science), and Mr. Vargas (PE). Collaboration schedule is below – remember to have your child wear athletic shoes so they are ready for PE!

Week of September 11th

We are still having parent teacher conferences this week – September 11-15.  Please make sure you pick up your child on time as these are minimum days with dismissal at 1:30. Thank you!

Fall Break will be from September 18-29th.  Students are to return on October 3rd and it is a regular day.  Enjoy your break!

Do you ever wonder how to help your child at home?  Our district’s Parent Academy is coming on Saturday, October 14 at Hedenkamp Elementary from 7:30-12:00.  Learn about tools, strategies, and resources to support your child’s success in school. Breakfast will be provided for all.  Free childcare will be provided to the first 100 children that are enrolled. Week of September 4th

Thank you to those who walked or rode their bicycles, skateboards, or scooters to school on Friday, September 1st!  Join us at our next Bike or Walk to School Day!

Monday, September 4th is Labor Day and there is no school.  Enjoy the holiday!

Parent/Teacher Conferences have been scheduled from September 7th-14th.  During this time, students in grades K-6 will be dismissed at 1:30.

Grandpersons Day will be on Friday, September 8th at 8:15 a.m. All grandpersons or grandparents are to report to the Professional Development Center for a light breakfast.  Your grandchild will pick you up and take you to his or her classroom to enjoy reading a book together.  We look forward to seeing you!

Save the date!  Learn about tools, strategies, and resources to support your child’s success in school.  Sessions will include Math, Writing, Reading, ELD, Technology, Health and Wellness, VAPA and more. Week of August 28th

You may have noticed that city workers have been working on Twining Avenue. Please know that it will be open and school will be in session.   The work on Twining Avenue will be rescheduled to give the school and residents sufficient notice.

Week of August 21st

Thank you all for supporting PTA’s Apex Fun Run.  It was a great success!  Students will be able to enjoy fieldtrips later in the year with funds raised during this event.  You can still donate if you wish.

On August 21st, the day of the Solar Eclipse, as an additional precautionary measure, students will be indoors from 9:00-12:00.  Lunch times for this day only will be adjusted. After students eat, they will play outside.

The last Positive Parenting Workshop will be on Tuesday, August 22nd from 8:30-10:30 at our school.  The classes and childcare are free.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity!

Picture make up day will be on Wednesday, August 23rd.

Did you know that we have over 400 families at Juarez-Lincoln?  Of those families, only 15% have joined the PTA.  This year our goal is to have 75% of our families join.  The cost of each membership is $10. Please help our school by becoming a member. Your contribution will make a big difference!

We are offering parent workshops through the Positive Parenting Program, which is free for parents and child care is offered.  Workshops will be held on August 15th, and 22nd from 8:30-10:30 a.m.  at Juarez Lincoln.  To reserve your space, call 858-637-3375. Don’t miss out on this opportunity.

On Tuesday, August 15 we will have our School Site Council Meeting at 3:00 in room 301.

Our PTA invites you and your family to support our Apex Fun Run Fundraising which will run from August 7-18.  The actual FUN run will be on August 17th.

Week of July 24

We had a great start to the new school year! Thank you for helping us keep students safe by making sure you follow drop off and pick up rules.

Students took home a yellow envelope with forms that need to be completed and returned to your child’s teacher as soon as possible.  We thank you in advance for your promptness with this request.

Join us on Friday, July 28 for our first ELAC meeting, Coffee Chat, and Volunteer Training at 8:30 a.m. in the Professional Development Center.  We hope to see many of you there!

Week of July 17

Hello Juarez-Lincoln Eagles!

Welcome to the new school year!  School begins on Wednesday, July 19 at 8:15 and it will be a minimum day.  Our theme this year is “From Crayons to College” and we are very excited to see each of our Eagles this week!

Also, please be aware that kindergarten orientation will be on Tuesday, July 18th at 3:00 in the auditorium.  Class lists will be posted on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00pm.

Please make sure that all residence verifications have been completed by Tuesday, July 18th at 2:00 at the latest.

Students will take home first day of school packets, so please look out for a yellow envelope as it contains forms that need to be completed and returned to your child’s teacher as soon as possible.

We’re looking forward to seeing you this week.
