Are you interested in supporting language learners at Juarez-Lincoln? If so, we need your support!
Our school is in need of English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) Board Members.
The ELAC focuses on the following:
– Focuses on theneeds of English Learnersat the school
– Allows time for the committee to learn about and discuss EL issues
– Includes reports from the DELAC/DAC and SSC representative/alternate
– Decides on and creates a written recommendationto share with SSC
This school year we need a President and Secretary. The roles are described below:
President
– Plans agendas with principal
– Signs letters or documents
Secretary
– Takes meeting notes
– Keeps and maintains documents in a binder
Nomination and Election Timeline:
– Nominations: August 31-September 1 @ 5pm
– Elections: September 1-3 @ 5pm
– First ELAC Board Meeting: September 7 @ 9:30a
– First ELAC School Meeting (open to public): September 10 @ 8:30a
ELAC Meetings 2021-2022 @ 8:30a (all meetings this year will take place via Zoom)
