School begins in one week on August 31 at 8:15am through Distance Learning.  We are all very excited to connect with our students. 

We understand you may have wonderings related to Distance Learning.  We are currently finalizing schedules and class lists. We will be sharing lots of information with our community this week!

Distance Learning

School begins August 31 through Distance Learning at 8:15am for all students in grades K-6. 

Your child’s teacher will connect with your child daily.  We are focused on engaging our students in math, reading, writing, as well as social emotional learning, music, science, physical education and art.  

During the first week, instruction time will be 2 hours, and beginning Tuesday, September 8, they will be as follows.

According to AB77, the school day shall include instructional minutes as follows:

• 180 instructional minutes (3 hours) in preschool/TK/kindergarten
• 230 instructional minutes (3 hours 50 minutes) in grades 1 to 3
• 240 instructional minutes (4 hours) in grades 4 to 6

2020-2021 Device Distributions:

Phase I & II Device Distribution

On Tuesday, August 25, we will distribute loaner devices to families that submitted a device request on or before August 19.  Families who submitted a request prior to August 19 will receive an email via School Messenger on August 24 with instructions for picking up devices.

Phase III Device Distribution

If your child needs a loaner device or internet hot spot to connect with the teacher, and you did not get a chance to complete the previous survey for Phase I or II, please click the link below by 3pm Wednesday, August 26, to request a device. You will be placed on a waitlist for Phase III distributions beginning Friday, August 28. Supplies are limited and we will continue to work on securing a device for all students who need one. Due to limited supplies, all Phase I requests not picked up on August 25 will be re-submitted for a later distribution.

Internet Hot Spot Distribution

If you requested an internet hot spot during prior to August 19, the distribution date will Friday, August 28 from 1pm – 2pm.  You will receive an email on Monday, August 24 with instructions on how to pick up the hot spot.

Verification of Residency

Verification of residency for the 2020-2021 school year has started.  In order for your student to begin the new school year on August 31, you must have verified residency.  

We accept residency verifications in the office, between 8:45 to 11:15 am and from 1:45 to 3:30 pm.

If you are not able to come during the hours above, the office will extend hours from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 27th, 2020.
