Hello Juarez-Lincoln Families,
I hope everyone is having a relaxing and safe summer break. School is almost back in session! School begins in the morning on August 31 through Distance Learning. During the next two weeks, I will be sharing lots of information relating to Distance Learning and Device Distributions. You can stay updates by signing up for this school blog.
Distance Learning
School begins August 31 through Distance Learning. Your child’s teacher will connect with your child daily. We are focused on engaging our students in math, reading, writing, as well as social emotional learning, music, science, physical education and art.
According to AB77, the school day shall include instructional minutes as follows:
- 180 instructional minutes (3 hours) in preschool/TK/kindergarten
- 230 instructional minutes (3 hours 50 minutes) in grades 1 to 3
- 240 instructional minutes (4 hours) in grades 4 to 6
Early next week, we will share the following:
- School schedule
- Parent Handbook
- Student Rosters
- Information on how to connect in the morning on August 31, 2020.
2020-2021 Device Distributions:

*We are working towards providing a device to all families in need. We will first distribute one device for every two Juarez-Lincoln students per household. Once all families receive one device, then we will begin distributing devices to siblings.
Verification of Residency
Verification of residency for the 2020-2021 school year has started. In order for your student to begin the new school year on August 31st 2020, you must have verified residency.
We accept residency verifications in the office, between 8:45 to 11:15 am and from 1:45 to 3:30 pm.
If you are not able to come during the hours above, the office will extend hours from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 20th and on Thursday, August 27th, 2020.

Childcare
CVESD is currently exploring possible options for childcare support, as we understand that there are many families with childcare concerns. We have a limited number of students that we can accommodate, and families will be notified if they have been selected to receive childcare soon.
We look forward to a wonderful and safe school year. If you have any questions, please call us at 619-690-9222.
