May 3, 2020
Hello Juarez-Lincoln families.
I hope everyone is enjoying another weekend with beautiful weather. We continue to miss all of you and it has been great virtually connecting with everyone for now.
National Teacher Appreciation Week May 4-8, 2020
Juarez-Lincoln teachers have shown great innovation and are working very hard connecting with each and every student. Let’s show our teachers how much we appreciate them!
Each day this week, your child can show appreciation in different ways.
Day | How to show appreciation |
Monday | Email your teacher a thank you message.
|
Tuesday | Take a photo doing art, music, sports, or something special and share with your teacher.
|
Wednesday | Draw a picture of you and your teacher and share your drawing with your teacher.
|
Thursday | Create and send your teacher a short thank you video and email it to your teacher or post it on Teams.
|
Friday | Send a virtual gift– a photo of some artwork, flowers, or a thank you poster.

Distance Learning
We are now in week 5 of Distance Learning. Our goal is to keep student learning alive and well until health officials determine that our school is safe to reopen. We will continue providing access to flexible academic opportunities to extent possible this week through Distance Learning.

Our District has established a Parent Helpline to provide technical support with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams, as well as assistance for District-adopted online programs (i.e. Achieve 3000). Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Parents may call if they need support with these tools and an IT team member will assist them. You may need to leave a message during peak times but please be reassured that someone will contact you as soon as possible. The parent helpline number is 619-409-6638.
Meal Distribution
Juarez-Lincoln will begin distributing meals this week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. District and school staff will distribute meals from 10am-12pm. Meals are intended for children between the ages of 1 to 18 and child must be present. When you pull up, please open the trunk of your vehicle and a CNS Staff will place the meal in your trunk.
As always, thank you for your partnership and support. I look forward to the day we are back on campus together.
Warm regards,
Robert Pollack, Principal
