Hello Juarez-Lincoln families.

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend.  We continue to miss all of your friendly faces.  Our goal is to keep student learning alive and well until health officials determine that our school is safe to reopen. We look forward to continue connecting to the extent possible this week through Distance Learning.

Distance Learning

Our teachers will continue to ensure that assignments are flexible and equitable for all students.

Our District has established a Parent Helpline to provide technical support with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams, as well as assistance for District-adopted online programs (i.e. Achieve 3000). Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Parents may call if they need support with these tools and an IT team member will assist them. You may need to leave a message during peak times but please be reassured that someone will contact you as soon as possible. The parent helpline number is 619-409-6638.

Device Distribution Phase II: Friday, May 1, 2020

Juarez-Lincoln will distribute loaner devices on Friday, May 1.  If you are receiving a device in Phase II, CVESD and Juarez-Lincoln will send you a link this week.  Please complete the link prior to picking up your device.

All devices are temporarily loaned out and will need to be returned at the end of the school year or once notified. Only students who students who have been identified will receive a device.  If you do not directly receive a link, please do not pick up a device. We are only distributing one device for every two students in the same home.

I will share instructions for safely picking up devices and the Release Form later this week.

Picking up student’s personal belongings- Friday, May 8, 2020

On May 8, parents may pick up compelling and specific items left behind by your children on March 13 when schools closed. I will send out an email on April 28 along with a link for parents to complete if they need to pick up an item.  This will be the only mass distribution. We ask that you consider only picking up important items.

Meal Distribution

The District will continue meal distribution at Juarez-Lincoln this week on Monday – Friday. Meal bags will contain one breakfast and one lunch servings. District and school staff will distribute meals from 10am-12pm. Meals are intended for children between the ages of 1 to 18 and child must be present. When you pull up, please open the trunk of your vehicle and a CNS Staff will place the meal in your trunk.
