Hello Juarez-Lincoln families. Our team continues to miss all of you and hopes this finds you well. Please let your children know we miss them, and our staff is so excited to continue connecting with them this week.
Distance Learning
During Quarter 4, due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, CVESD and Juarez-Lincoln will embark upon a distance learning instructional model for all students until further notice. To view our District’s updates related to COVID-19 and Distance Learning, please CLICK HERE.
Juarez-Lincoln’s goal is to keep student learning alive and well until health officials determine that our school is safe to reopen. This week, Distance Learning for students will start, to the extent possible.
Due to the current state of the COVID-19, CVESD schools will not be distributing any packets at this time. CVESD is looking into a plan for distributing packets for students who do not have access to online.
CVESD will also not be distributing any digital devices (e.g., laptops) at this time. However, our teachers will ensure that assignments will be flexible and equitable for all students.
I will continue to share information with all of you.
IMPORTANT: We are working towards assessing our students’ needs related to Distance Learning. Please click and complete the questions on the JL Distance Learning Information Form.
Our District has established a Parent Helpline to provide technical support with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams, as well as assistance for District-adopted online programs (i.e. Achieve 3000). Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Parents may call if they need support with these tools and an IT team member will assist them. You may need to leave a message during peak times but please be reassured that someone will contact you as soon as possible. The parent helpline number is 619-409-6638.
Meal Distribution
The District will continue meal distribution at Juarez-Lincoln and 9 other school sites on Monday – Friday. Meal bags will contain one breakfast and one lunch servings. District and school staff will start distributing the meals at 10 am, and will stop once all bags are distributed on a first come, first served basis. Meals are intended for children between the ages of 1 to 18 and child must be present.
As always, thank you for your partnership and support. I look forward to the day we are back on campus together
Warm regards,
Robert Pollack, Principal
