Hello Juarez-Lincoln Families,
I hope everyone is doing well.
Here is some important information about the upcoming weeks. Please note that developments are fluid and may change at any time. I will continue to send out messengers as needed to keep everyone informed on important developments in the community.
- Schools will remain closed indefinitely until further notice as part of a united effort to protect our citizens.
- ALL 2019-2020 summative State assessments have been cancelled- including CAASPP, ELPAC, and Physical Fitness Testing.
Also note that the Chula Vista Elementary School District will extend its “grab-and-go” meal service for the next two weeks. The meal distribution will take place at nine regionally located school sites across the District. One of those will be Juarez-Lincoln. However, there will be only ONE DAY for meal distribution each of those weeks, with a box for each student that will contain five days’ worth of meals.
The distribution dates are:
- 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 and
- 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31
Students who are receiving meals must be physically present. Meals may consist of packaged, refrigerated, and frozen items.
I encourage you to stay positive and let’s all do our part in getting through this. Let’s spread the word and maintain our distance from another, avoid gatherings, stay home (especially if sick), cough into your elbow, wash your hands, and don’t touch your face. These are things we can all do at this time to get through this pandemic and take care of our children, families, friends, elders, colleagues, and everyone else.
Thank you everyone and WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS.
-Robert Pollack, School Principal
